BORN TO BE

Chorus:
When you walk
Through the valley
You won't have to walk alone.
Jesus will be there
Watching from His Throne.
He will meet you
On your journey,
Where He'll take you by the hand,
And lead you to the Promised Land.

To all my loved ones
Please don't cry for me.
I'll be with my Lord and Savior,
Where I was born to be.

VERSE:
I can smell the sweet fragrance
Of every flower ever made.
And hear the sweet sound of melodies
In my heart they do invade.

If I had a choice
To go or stay right here.
I'll be waiting there
For all the ones I hold so dear.

CHORUS:
When you walk
Through the valley
You won't have to walk alone.
Jesus will be there
Watching from His Throne.

He will meet you
On your journey,
Where He'll take you by the hand,
And lead you to the Promised Land.

To all my loved ones
Please don't cry for me.
I'll be with my Lord and Savior,
Where I was born to be.

To all my loved ones
Please don't cry for me.
I'll be with my Lord and Savior,
Where I was born to be

Born to be ... Born to be ...
Born to beeeeeeee!!!

When your heart is shattered
Lying in pieces on the floor
It really doesn't matter
If anyone else knows .. Jesus knows.

When you're face down at the alter
Hurting deep down to your core
There's One Who knows that kind of sorrow ...
Jesus knows.

Jesus knows when you are weary
Jesus knows the load you bear
He wants to be the One you lean on
When life seems unjust .. unfair.
He'll give you hope for a bright tomorrow
And see you through those highs and lows
If you'll just put your trust in Jesus
Cause Jesus knows.

Jesus knows when you are weary
Jesus knows the load you bear
He wants to be the One you lean on
When life seems unjust .. unfair.
He'll give you hope for a bright tomorrow
And see you through those highs and lows
If you'll just put your trust in Jesus
Cause Jesus knows.

If you'll just put your faith and trust in Jesus
Cause Jesus knows.

KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS

Keep your eyes on Jesus
Stay focused in His Word.
He’ll speak to you of wonders past
Such things you’ve never heard.

He’ll fill your Spirit from within,
With truth, joy, peace and love.
And rain His many blessings down,
From His heavenly home above.

Don’t let the trials in this life now,
Distract you from your goal.
Of resting your eyes upon the Lord,
Feeling his love deep in your Soul.

To stand in the Presence of the Lord,
No description could suffice.
Even unbelievers hearts should melt,
For them too, He paid the price.

So keep your eyes on Jesus,
Let Him guide you in all you do.
Yes, keep your eyes on Jesus
Cause Jesus has His eyes on you.

Yes,keep your eyes on Jesus,
Let Him guide you in all you do.
Yes, keep your eyes on Jesus
Cause Jesus has His eyes on you.

I DON'T WANT TO GO DOWN THAT ROAD AGAIN
Copyright © 2009 Gerti M. Blackwell

Chorus:
I don’t want to go
down that road again.
Where the nights
are long and lonely
And the walls keep closing in.
I called on His Name
to see me through
To be made whole
and totally brand new
So I won’t want to go back
down that road again.

Verse:
I don’t want to remember
those dark years
Before I found Jesus
through my tears.
He reminds me every day ..
By His Blood He
washed all my sins away
Now I won’t go back down
that long, dark road again.

Chorus:
I don’t want to go
down that road again.
Where the nights
are long and lonely
And the walls keep closing in.
I called on His Name
to see me through
To be made whole
and totally brand new
So I won’t want to go back
down that road again.

I called on His Name
to see me through.
To be made whole
and totally brand new.
Now I won’t go back down
that long dark road again.

Now I won’t go back down
that long dark road again.

REAL POETRY COMES FROM THE HEART
Copyright 2009 Gerti M. Blackwell

It is one thing to critique
It is another to be just plain rude.
If one’s style does not agree with yours,
Doesn’t warrant an attitude.

There is just one God, but many churches
To administer to each one’s needs.
When we gather with Him on Judgement Day,
We’ll be judged by our hearts .. not our deeds.

He didn’t make us to all sound alike,
If you’ll remember the Tower of Babel.
But love is a language we all understand,
And we show it in ways we are able.

When someone is speaking straight from the heart
It doesn’t matter if the words are in rhyme.
Jesus spoke beautiful poetry,
Free verse done in His way and time.

So to anyone who thinks there is only one way,
And to rhyme makes the only good poem.
Look outside self and open your mind.
Who knows …. you just might enjoy’em.

LOOKING FORWARD

I am so looking forward
to that glorious day,
When i stand before Jesus
and humbly try to convey,
what my thoughts, words, and deeds meant,
though He already knows.
His Cross covered my sins,
His Blood made me whole.

So no matter what happens
in the flesh … on this earth.
When we accept Jesus,
His gift is a re-birth.
We need to keep looking forward,
moving on from the past.
For the love of our Saviour
is the only love that lasts.
